Not Your Bae-Con

My first enamel pin, in the flesh! I created this pin with Pin Pals to raise money for animals in need. With a play on words using bae and bacon, pigs aren’t yours to exploit! Go vegan!

So far £30 has been donated to Forget Me Not Animal Rescue Sanctuary.

(£10 to Anaya Aid to help children in Syria plus £10 of my own money and clothing donations.)

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

I wanted this palette for ages and I popped in to Superdrug one day and saw that they had an offer on Sleek makeup, 2 for £10! This palette retails for £9.99 so how could I miss that?!

Packaging & Swatches
There are 4 colours are quite similar to my skin tone so come across as quite natural and includes one cream formula, one shimmer and two baked powders, all in a shiny gold packaging and a handy little brush.

Ecliptic - rose gold cream formula, perfect for under eyebrows
Hemisphere - baked lilac with metallic undertones
Sub Solar - lemon shimmer
Equinox - peach gold baked powder

Perfect for a summery glow!

Unicorns Heart & Light and Glow Swatches

So Tam Beauty the makers of I Heart Makeup and other ranges advertised on my Facebook this beautiful rainbow highlighter and I knew I immediately had to have it. In their new range was also this pink and white chocolate packaging highlight and shimmery blush duo. They were only £5 and £6 each so I snapped them up quick.

The shimmer is actually quite light so comes across as quite natural, my hands were quite red at the time (COLD) but I wore it out the next day and it was very pretty! You can’t go wrong for the price.

As for the rainbow highlight, I have no idea what I’m going to use it for but I just had to have it!

Spectrum Collections Glam Clam, Brush Clam & Superdrug B Brush Cleanser Review

As soon as I saw this product I knew I had to have it! I ended up receiving this gorgeous brush set for my birthday and was so excited to take photos of these beautiful brushes and use them on my face. You can currently get 10% off your first order when you sign up to their mailing list.

The Glam Clam is priced at £59.99, and consists of 10 brushes and of course the clam shaped pouch. The brushes are soft, I was so excited to use the flat top buffer for my foundation and I was pleasantly surprised the brushes used for eyeshadow picked up as much product as much as they did! I love the colours and will definitely purchase more brushes in the future.

B01 Flat Top Buffer - definately my favourite
A01 Large Domed Powder
A05 Precision Blush - perfect for highlighting and contouring
B03 Buffing Concealer - I loved this brush
A06 Large Fluffy Shader
B06 Taller Tapered Blender
B04 Small Angled Blender
A17 Angled Brow
A15 Lip Liner
A09 Angled Eyeliner - has a dent in it to make it easier angle to apply eyeliner, my dent is so small that it doesn’t make any difference and looks out of place, but I have seen images on their Instagram where the dent is more prominent.

The B range is designed for Buffing and Blending and the A range designed for Application.

The Brush Clam is priced at £8.99 and is used for cleaning your brushes, I was happy to find the back of the clam is 3D shell shaped! The product image does not show the back and I was expecting it to be flat. I paired this product with the B Makeup Brush Cleanser for Superdrug, also vegan and cruelty free and is generously priced at £4.99 however there was 1/3 off when I shopped. I did not know what to expect as I hadn’t shopped in Superdrug for years and this is a fairly new brand, but the pump spray is easy to use and works well, it got a lot of product out of my brushes with ease. Marketed as gentle enough for every day use and antibacterial!

Sleek Del Mar Volume 2 iDivine Palette Review & Swatches

I love Sleek palettes, they are my favourite high street eyeshadows with a great range of colours and good quality pigment. When I first saw this palette on Amazon for £7.99 I fell in love, I have a big soft spot for tropical themes. Already owning a few Sleek palettes I knew this was worth buying.

Sleek packaging is always very well, “sleek”. I love the compact black matte case with handy decent sized mirror and duo foam end applicator, great for travelling. The box it came in is also rather nice, tropical colours with a modern beach scene.

Keeping in line with other Sleek palettes, there are 12 shades, in a range of matte and shimmer finishes. The colours reflect beach vibes that can be used for both day and night looks due to the soft pastels and vibrant smokey shades.

Loco - light shimmery peach
San Antonio - soft bright peach
Ibiza Rocks - matte yellow
Zoola - soft shimmery gold
Pura Vida - matte khaki
Spotlight - slightly shimmery slate
Pearl - cream shimmer
Ushuaia - matte skin toned beige
Puro - pastel matte lilac
Bora Bora - bright matte turquoise
Ocean Beach - dark matte teal
Siesta - dark greyish brown

Although I love the colour scheme this palette does not seem to live up to the pigment of other Sleek palettes. The colours are light but can be built up. Most of the colours are pretty neutral so can be used daily however my favourite is Bora Bora the bright matte turquoise, which seems to be the most pigmented of the bunch.
